Yes, we are powerful!
We never sin, but we do wrong sometimes.
We have determined volition, not libertarian free will. We are not fully self-made. We do depend on those determinants. We should determined to improve them. We can change our circumstances so as to have a better nurture. We can improve our natures.
When we better ourselves, no supernatural agent helps us. We help ourselves when we help ourselves, not He.
Most people do right most of the time. That misanthropic emphasis over wrong-doing is itself wrong. It emphasizes sexual wrongs that are actually sexual goods- pre-marital sex or the use of prostitutes. That misanthropy applies the evils of some to all: what a blasphemy of humanity and - morality1
No demons exist at all, so they cannot be determinants. That author rightly inveighs against using such as rationalizations, but we can have determinants that lead us astray that we can overcome as noted above.
What do you suggest we do to have those better natures and nurtures?
